AEGEE-Angers !!!!

In May 2019, after 10 years of crisis, Brexit implementation and a risky European election, a new EU will be born. A new Europe will require from European citizens to redefine their common interests and goals, and to adapt their methods to new realities if they want to keep/take a say in the model of society that’s being proposed to them. That’s the kind of challenge Franck Biancheri couldn’t resist to take up!

The antenna AEGEE-Angers, winner of the “Franck Biancheri Award 2019“, in partnership with AEGEE-Europe, AAFB and LEAP2020, will dedicate the award to the shaping of a big 5 days event in June 2019, just after the European elections, on the following inspiring topic :

Introducing the presentation of its application AEGEE-Angers writes:

“30 years ago, Franck Biancheri impulsed AEGEE’s creation. For 10 years he worked with the will of building a new vision of Europe. Of these 10 years emerge a vision of Europe in 2020, a political party and new actor of reflection, LEAP 2020.

As AEGEE is launching this year its new program “Europe 2040”, we want to make an echo to Frank Biancheri’s work. We want to empower the youth, give them the tools needed to understand the world they are living in, and to forecast the Europe they want for their future.

Those are the reasons we want to organize FB Award in Angers this year. But there is still one more reason, the symbol. We are a fresh born antenna, not even 6 month. So taking the direction of Europe 2040 in the rebirth of AEGEE in France, what symbol is it ? This way empowering the young anteannae’s to take an active part in AEGEE’s vision for Europe”.

Adding to that, let’s read (and listen) again and again what Franck Biancheri told to Aegean-students during his very last speech at the Enschede Agora in May 2012:

AEGEE-Angers !!!!

En mai 2019, après 10 ans de crise, la mise en œuvre du Brexit et des élections européennes risquées, une nouvelle UE verra le jour. Une nouvelle Europe obligera les citoyens européens à redéfinir leurs intérêts et objectifs communs et à adapter leurs méthodes à de nouvelles réalités s’ils veulent conserver/ prendre la parole dans le modèle de société qui leur est proposé. C’est le genre de défi auquel Franck Biancheri ne pouvait résister.

L’antenne AEGEE-Angers, lauréate du «Prix Franck Biancheri 2019», en partenariat avec AEGEE-Europe, l’AAFB et LEAP2020, consacrera ce prix à l’organisation d’un grand événement de 5 jours en juin 2019, juste après les élections européennes, s’inspirant du sujet suivant:

“Dans la peau de Franck Biancheri en 2019… imaginant l’horizon 2040.

Quelle vision à 20 ans Franck Biancheri aurait-il aujourd’hui?“

Dans l’introduction de son dossier de présentation, AEGEE-Angers écrit:

“30 ans plus tôt, Franck Biancheri amorce la création d’AEGEE. Pendant 10 ans il se lance dans le défi de créer une nouvelle vision de l’Europe. De ces 10 années est née une vision pour l’Europe à l’horizon 2020, un parti politique et un nouvel acteur de réflexion, LEAP 2020.

Alors qu’AEGEE lance cette année son nouveau programme, «Europe 2040», nous voulons être l’écho du travail de Franck Biancheri. Nous voulons donner aux jeunes le pouvoir, les outils nécessaires pour comprendre le monde dans lequel ils vivent, et pour donner une vision de l’Europe qu’ils souhaitent pour leur futur.

Pour ces raisons nous voulons organiser le Prix Franck Biancheri à Angers cette année. Mais il y a cependant une autre raison, le symbole. Nous sommes une toute nouvelle antenne d’AEGEE, nous n’avons même pas 6 mois. Quel symbole serait-ce que de prendre la direction de l’Europe de 2040 dans une nouvelle antenne française ? Ainsi donnant aux jeunes antennes la capacité de prendre une partactive dans l’élaboration de la vision d’AEGEE de l’Europe.“

Pour faire suite à cela, relisons (et réécoutons) encore et toujours ce que Franck Biancheri disait aux étudiants d’AEGEE lors de sa toute dernière intervention au cours de l’Agora à Enschede en mai 2012:

«En tant qu’étudiant, en tant que jeune, vous êtes l’outil naturel pour définir l’avenir… Ne laissez pas le passé occuper votre avenir. Soyez les pionniers de l’Europe de demain – Occupez le futur!» (Agora Aegee-Europe, Enschede, Mai 2012)
